Mole Y Abuela Brunch- Coming April 13th!

Hey everyone, coming at you with another foodie post to make you all hungry this Wednesday!

This past weekend I got to preview the new brunch menu @moleyabuelatampa and it’s full of all new Spanish breakfast flavors! Although a lot of people think their name means they're a complete Mexican restaurant, Mole Y Abuela's Celebrity Chef Fabio Viviani has created a menu inspired by old-Spanish cuisine from many different areas. Everything is sourced locally and each piece of meat is specifically purveyed by the chef. Let me walk you through some of my favorites.

We''ll start with favorite, I'm a huge carnivore and have to pick the Carne asada and eggs. The steak was cooked and charred to perfection. I always order it how the chef recommends, medium rare. Served with a double fried egg to compliment and pico de gallo.

Next we have the Churro Waffle, a tad more doughy and crunchy on the outside, the toppings are what really brings this waffle to light. The Dulce de leche, strawberries and honey butter with cinnamon are the kicker. Sooooo good. Going back for this ASAP!

Here we have the second favorite sweet treat of the day, the Bombolini Horchata bread pudding drizzled with almond custard , dulce de leche pistachios, and Mexican cinnamon. I could have this every day of the week! Its super thick and creamy and the consistency is divine. Dulce de leche on everything please!

For brunch libations we chose their spicy Bloody Mary and the Pomegranate Spritz. Hannah had the bloody- not my taste, but the Spritz was so refreshing and a great trade off for a mimosa!

Crispy Papas Bravas, the perfect sharing app.

Eggs Diabo, pretty yummy even though I'm not a huge deviled egg fan, the butter poached shrimp won me over!

The barbacoa torta was extremely flavorful and very filling! They don't call it the "Drowned Torta" for nothing I even had to take some home!

Mexican approved Chilaquiles! So yummy. I would love to see some protein added to this though, like chicken or chorizo!

I mean guys they put a churro waffle in front of me, what’s a Mexican girl to do?

To top it all off, we of course had to grab a cocktail on the rooftop bar, it was the most beautiful day for it too.

To compliment the yummy food is the tremendous staff- there is honestly nothing more that pulls you back into an establishment besides great food like AMAZING service. Their keen attention to detail makes sure your meal comes out exactly how you want it, and always paid attention to! Nocturnal Hospitality Group is always kicking it out of the park there.  Congrats to Lanfranco Pescante, David Anderson, and Chef Fabio Viviani on your third concept together! So proud of all they’ve added to Tampa and Franklin Street. It's so great seeing these hardworking friends I've known since high school "making downtown Tampa great again". P.S is it bad I’m already awaiting their newest hotspot?

Brunch will be available to everyone starting this weekend April, 13th!
