Instaweek: First week of Summer

This past weeks been a little crazy. Everyday trips to the beach, running on searing pavement, mimosas, feet out car windows, sandy bedsheets and wet towels pretty much sum it up. The first week of Summer in Florida I guess we kinda go all out. Im a beach girl so the waves have been calling my name for some time now. As soon as school let out I grabbed by boho beach bag, chiffon cape, O'neill sandals, bikini,and hit the beach. Oh and its a revelation! Ya girl finally got instagram ;)

Waking with the waves

Waking up to the waves pounding the surf is amazing. Waiting underneath the breakfast palapa is fresh fruit and juices, made to order omelets and waffles, never ending pastries that'll get the best of you (I swear I probably had like 8 in one sitting). My favorite thing ever is the waffles with pineapple and pecans, and a tall glass of watermelon juice mmmm. That along with the swim up bar and pool service ;) Then off to the beach for some salt and sand...

It's finals week and avoiding school and exams isn't an option for anyone anymore, I mean summer break is literally a week away. Hell yes. So I guess this is just a normal school day for me...wake up, get dressed, sit around and procrastinate going to class, class, coffee break & chalk drawings... the usual. Sometimes I feel so weird in just jeans and a simple top, especially when it's monochromatic look like this one. But I love the fit of this blouse, the zipper down the back, and it just looks so good with a pair of black skinny jeans and ankle boots. Accessories are key to a basic outfit like this. Almost all the rings are vintage except the larger gold one from Francesca's, and this awesome BCBGeneration pyramid bracelet was a gift from my cousins, I love it.
