A Little Bird In Tampa Told Me

(Tampa, Fla)

That M. Bird is the new rooftop hot spot in town. I had the pleasure of getting a preview of the new Armature staple last week and it did not disappoint! Perched on the rooftop of Armature works is the new Mod-Deco Old Florida styled bar and lounge featuring craft cocktails and small bites with a Hemingway vibe. Not to mention the 360 views of Downtown Tampa's skyline, with lots of extra seating. The namesake being inspired by Florida's state bird the mockingbird, the decor mirrors that- with lofty views black, tropical palms and dark teak wood bar complete with cutout bird details.

To compliment, the tasty menu reflect all Hemingways Florida penchants and Cuban goodness.
My favorite plate was the spicy jerk chicken egg rolls! Served with a sweet pineapple sauce on the side and perfect with one of their "swizzles" or stirred cocktails. But would also go well with a straight up! (Great advice from the best Bartender, Nick! Heed the advice!)

We tried the Oobee Doo and The Hemingway daiquiri, some of the swizzle cocktails. While the Oobee Doo was made with Bourbon, honey and Lemon zest, the Hemingway Daiquiri is much sweeter with his choice of alcohol, rum. I will say I had a sip of my friends "Afterthot" and loveddd it, as it's a sweet champagne cocktail.

This way my kind of caprese, served with croutons!

It's sure to be a Tampa staple for Summer rooftop nights. Now open to the public everyday at 4pm. See you all there!
